Unexpected mobile phone contracts with Vodafone

Now that the iPhone 5 release is well and truly behind us here's an irreverent look at some of the more outlandish rumors that were circulating the web in the weeks leading up to the release of the new Apple smartphone.

Secret Message

"Network giant Vodafone has just added more incentive for consumers to grab its new mush have device, the iPhone 5. Insider sources say that thirty lucky iPhone users are rumored to be in for a treat, as the insider informs us that a special screensaver and a video message masquerading as an App, featuring the Apple’s late CEO Steve Jobs.

The content of the message is yet to be revealed, however, the insider says that the lucky mobile phone contracts users should find an application on the handset titled, "Are you feeling lucky?", which, when opened for the first time, activates the attached benefits.

Apple chief Tim Cook was unavailable for comment, but reports from multiple sources are confirming the speculation, but we are waiting for a consumer to report in with their findings. If you are one of the lucky winners of this extraordinary initiative by Apple, contact us immediately!"

We're still waiting for anyone to respond to that article. It might be a long wait...

Another office favorite mentioned a new app that could change ones fortunes.

Hidden App

"This is a simple app that works by predicting (100% accurate) lottery results for owners of mobile phone contracts. There's no more need for guessing or using family birthdays to help you out. You have never seen an iPhone app like this before, I will eat my sock whilst walking down the street singing 'Toon army' if you have.

All you have to do is take your iPhone 5 to the lottery kiosk in your local bargain store aka ASDA (will not work if you go dressed in Betty Boop jarmies and Simpsons slippers). Open the Lottery winner app and wave your phone around the lottery ticket shouting the words:

"Love me long time Camelot! Give it to me baby ah ha ah ha"

The app will create your lucky numbers including the bonus ball, fill out your lottery ticket using a red biro (please note it has to be a BIRO not an ASDA smart price). Pay for your ticket then tune in and watch your life change before your eyes. Ditch the 2 stripe "pretend" Addidas joggers and say hello to the real deal Addidas 3 stripe.

You are now Richie Rich from Minted Lane with a one way ticket to ‘Live Happily Ever After’ Ville and all thanks to mobile phone contracts with Vodafone."

It's nice to see that people were able to see the funnier side of all the hype and hyper extended hopes for a mobile telephone.
